FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROM MY FIRST SESSION?
We will begin with going over the intake forms you have filled out. Afterward I will ask you general questions to establish what areas you would like worked on, if there are any conditions needing to be addressed, and to determine if massage is appropriate for you.
AM I SUPPOSE TO LEAVE A TIP?
Tipping is never expected but graciously accepted.
DO I HAVE TO BE COMPLETELY UNDRESSED?
You should undress to the level you are comfortable. For a full body massage, most get completely undressed. However, if you will be more comfortable during the session if you leave your underwear on, that's fine. I will work around the clothes you leave on as best as I can. If removing all your clothes makes you too nervous and unable to relax, then you are not getting the optimal benefit from the session.
I will leave the room to give you privacy to undress and get comfortable on the table.
If you prefer to stay fully clothed, then I recommend you try Thai Yoga Massage.
DO I HAVE TO COVER MYSELF WITH A SHEET OR TOWEL?
This is known as draping and it is required in my practice. Once you are undressed and on the table under the drape, I will only uncover the part of your body being worked on.
The genitals (women and men) and breasts (women) will not be uncovered. If I am going to work on a woman's abdomen, a second towel or sheet will be used to cover the breasts so the main sheet or towel can be moved to expose the abdomen.
HOW DO I SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT FOR SOMEONE ELSE?
If you would like to schedule an appointment for someone other than yourself there are a couple options.
If the person already knows about the appointment please use their information for scheduling and filling out the New Patient Form. It is important that the client has read the policies and is involved in filling out the patient history section of the form.
If the appointment is a surprise, use their name for scheduling the appointment but your contact information. This way they are not contacted prior to you surprising them. Once they know about the appointment have them fill out the New Patient Form.
